A36 Clipper Joint

The A36 Clipper Joint uses a stainless steel fastener mounted onto a reinforced Kevlar end. This encapsulation prevents premature wear and helps the clipper stay secure. Ideal for applications where belts need frequent removal or fast replacement, the clipper is secured by threading a pin through once in position. It’s suitable for both open- and closed-weave PTFE mesh belts.

Bullnose Joint sewn under & encapsulated

Bullnose Joints are produced by folding and stitching the material along the joint area, leaving protruding loops that interlock. This joint type is popular due to its ease of use and its ability to withstand high temperatures, thanks to the industrial-grade thread used.

Butt Joint N1

A Butt Joint is formed by bringing the belt ends together edge to edge, then bonding them using a top strap or/and back strap. This produces an exceptionally smooth and seamless surface, ideal for product transfer. The joint is sealed using a high-temperature iron or lightweight press to fuse the materials securely.

Castellated Joint K1/K2

Made from PTFE-coated Kevlar (or Aramid), Castellated Joints feature interlocking loops that run across the joint. This construction makes the belt easy to fit and remove, while maintaining durability and long-term performance under tough conditions.

Cover Flap

A Cover Flap is an optional feature applied after the main joint has been completed. Made from a material of your choosing, it smooths over the joint to create a more seamless product transfer surface and improve performance in sensitive applications.

Dewefted Joint

A Dewefted Joint is created by removing 15–25mm of weft fibres from the belt ends, leaving only the warp fibres exposed. These are then interlocked and sealed using a heat process. This method forms multiple contact points between fibres, resulting in excellent strength and durability. It offers a similar structure to an overlap joint, but with improved mechanical performance.

Finger Joint M5

A Finger Joint is created by stamping matching "fingers" into the overlapping belt ends. These are then joined with a backstrap and/or top strap, then sealed with heat, resulting in a strong, flat connection. This method helps distribute stress more evenly and is typically used with our specialised press, depending on the finger style required.

Overlap Joint D4

The Overlap Joint involves placing one end of the belt over the other and sealing them together. This method is simple, effective, and often used for on-site joining after installation. It does, however, produce a small ridge at the seam, which may affect very precise applications.

Peek Spiral Joint 9A

This joint is made by folding and stitching Kevlar mesh around the belt ends. Peek spiral loops are woven through the mesh to create a pin-style joint that is compact, flexible, and smooth. Similar to a Bullnose Joint in concept, it provides enhanced flexibility through integrated loops.

Scarfed Joint G1

In a Scarfed Joint, the ends of the belt are bevelled (scarfed) before being overlapped and sealed. This creates a flatter, smoother joint compared to standard overlaps, allowing products to pass cleanly over the belt with minimal disruption.
