A Finger Joint is created by stamping matching "fingers" into the overlapping belt ends. These are then joined with a backstrap and sealed with heat, resulting in a strong, flat connection. This method helps distribute stress more evenly and is typically used with specialised presses, depending on the finger style required.
This joint offers similar features to other overlap joints but reduces the stress on the joint area and provides a smooth, flat and strong finish.
